S05E03. Still slow but at least there’s some titty for MrK.

- In the House of Black & White, after some dude drops into a religious coma, Arya gets some theological mumbo jumbo from Jaqen, when she just wants to get on with being his apprentice.
Tommen marries Margaery, creasing Cersei’s forehead. They consummate the marriage initially very quickly. Tommen is very taken with this rooting caper. Margaery gets to work on moulding her king. She says Cersei will never let him out of her sight, planting a seed in Tommen to send his Mum away.
Marg is overly gushing when Cersei comes to talk. The bride raves about Tommen’s bedroom energy. Cersei looks like she wants to slap the new Queen.
At the Dreadfort, Roose Bolton is not happy with Ramsay’s tax collection methods (flaying the skin from tardy payers). Roose says marriage is better than violence in achieving alliances. Roose has a lady of the North in mind.
This is confirmed when Baelish & Sansa arrive at Moat Cailin. Baelish confirms she is to marry Ramsay. She angrily refuses (afterall, Roose was responsible for the Red Wedding massacre). Baelish says it’s time to stop running – time to avenge her family. They head into Cailin. They are shadowed by Brienne & Pod.
Brienne lightens up on Pod & offers to train him to be a knight. She tells the story of how she became Renly’s guard, after he protected her from the taunts of young men at a courting session set up by her father. She still seethes at failing to protect Renly & swears to avenge him by killing Stannis.
John Snow formally refuses Stannis’ offer to be King of Winterfell. Stannis leaves the fate of the Wildlings to Snow. Davos works on Snow, saying as long as Bolton rules the North, the North will suffer.
In her quest to become faceless, Arya chucks all her belongings in the water, but can’t bring herself to dunk Needle, which she buries nearby.
At Moat Cailin, Sansa has agreed to Baelish’s idea.
At the Wall, Snow doles out new roles under his command. Janos Slynt refuses his new role at a ruined castle. John says “right, outside” Slynt blubbers in fear on the block but Snow lops his snivelling head off.
The Sparrows shame the High Septon, who they catch in a brothel. They whip him as he is forced to walk naked in the streets. He then whinges to the Small Council, & demands the High Sparrow be silenced. Instead, Cersei forms an alliance with the High Sparrow, with the High Septon rotting in a cell.
Bolton & Baelish discuss his keeping of his bargain re: Sansa, but there is little trust between them. Bolton doesn’t feel safe as Warden of the North.
On the road to Meereen, the Imp is going spare & leaves the wagon, Varys follows. They shop in Volantis. Tyrion is taken with a Red Priestess, who stares back at him strangely. In a brothel, the Imp wants some action. We see Jorah (I think) drinking heavily. Tyrion goes for a piss but Jorah kidnaps him & says he’s taking him to the Queen.

Watched the episodes live so far but heard episode 4 was a cracker so caught it a couple of days early.

- Barriston is dead! Fark, did not see that coming. I guess now I know how non book readers feel. I wonder if that was planned in book 6 or whether this is the show taking a different direction?
Gripping stuff anyway. Also nice to see Jaime win a sword fight by using his golden hand. The only way he can be of any use as a fighter is if he uses a bit more nous to make up for the lost hand (Bronn is the ideal teacher for adding a few dirty tactics in)

S05E04. Choice. Great fight scenes, including the one leading to vilk's spoiler.

- Jorah spirits the kidnapped Imp away on a boat. Jaime & Bronn sail to Dorne.
At Small Council the Master of Coin (Lord Tyrell) is sent to the Iron Bank to negotiate terms of a required repayment. Cersei arms the followers of new High Sparrow, Qyburn, so he may dispense his own (read Cersei’s) justice.
The Sparrows then raid Baelish’s brothel, killing “sinners”. They “arrest” Loras. Margaery has a fit & confronts Tommen, saying it’s Cersie’s revenge. Tommen visits his Mum, but she says he must talk to the High Sparrow. The Sparrows block his way. Margaery is pissed.
Jon Snow signs letters asking for men & supplies but balks at signing one to Roose Bolton, Warden of the North. Sam convinces him. Melisandre tries to bonk Jon to get him to help on the coming raid on Winterfell. He rejects her. [nice tits but]
We learn that Stannis loves little grey-scaled Shireen (& how he saved her life) & she loves him.
Baelish tells Sansa he’s off to King’s Landing. She worries but he says Stannis will take over the North very soon, liberate her from the Boltons & make her Wardeness of the North as the “last surviving Stark”. He kisses her.
On a Dorne beach, Jaime & Bronn take out a Dornish patrol. On another beach, Ellaria tells her daughter & Oberyn’s daughters (Obara & Nymeria) that Prince Doran will not avenge their father’s death. Obara has captured a ship’s captain who rags on Jaime. The 4 vow to kill Myrcella before Jaime can save her.
On a small boat to Meereen, the Imp finds it amusing that Jorah has kidnapped him to take him where he was already headed. The Imp works out who he is from his garb & deduces he was banished for spying for Varys. Jorah snots him.
In Meereen, a Sons of the Harpy uprising takes out a stack of Unsullied. Grey Worm is about to be skewered but Barristan comes to his rescue. But after taking out plenty he is overpowered & stabbed. Grey Worm stops him being beheaded but he appears to die in a sea of Harpy bodies. Looks like an opening for Jorah just happened.
