Re: Movies that make you cry.
Nah.
It's a half hour too long as well. All that shite with Red and his parole and um-ing and ah-ing over whether to meet up with Andy was excruciating. Get the f*ck on with it.
Could've wrapped it up in two minutes flat.

Re: Movies that make you cry.
Lost In Translation, when Just Like Honey starts up. Sob central.
The Green Mile. In fact, most Tom Hanks films. Philadelphia.
Ghost, although I haven't watched it for a long time. Mainly because I know it makes me cry like a biatch.
Officer and a Gentleman.
Top Gun. If I fastforward through
Turner and Hooch so much I didn't watch it for 13 years.
Just about anything emotional in a film or tv show can make me cry. I'm terrible. Books, even. Anyone else cry at books? I can cry at horse races. Watching the video of Desert Orchid winning the 1989 Gold Cup. At the very least, a lump in the throat.

How about movies that made you cry with boredom? I had to take my ankle biter to see Yogi Bear - it's just wrong - so wrong.

Shawshank. Makes me f*cking weep every time.
Every time? Surely the 'crying bits' are not a surprise after the first time.

The Ashes Highlights, 2005.
The 1989 AFL Grand Final. Ditto 2008, and many others.

I wept like a baby the first time I watched Jaws. In my defence, I was a baby.

Anglos who call films 'movies' make me cry heavily.
I expect it from our 'Seppo'-adoring Australindians, but not from our own kith. Not from our own kith.

Re: Movies that make you cry.
I don't recall it making me cry. There is such a thing as too much cheese. Not in an eating sense. That's not possible. But in a film sense, yes.

Re: Movies that make you cry.
I once ate a block of cheddar. True story.
But yeah, f*ck Dirty Dancing. An ex forced me to sit through it, insisting I would like it.
I threw up 6 times. Could have been the cheese though.

combined they are a dangerous force. What strength was the cheddar? If it was mild, well, not that impressive.
It doesn't strike me as a guy film. Maybe guys who are into the 50s and dirty dancing? It's not even that dirty ffs.
I wouldn't force anyone to sit through it and in return, would not expect anyone to make me sit through... A Clockwork Orange, for example.
