Now the Belf is iconic...no question...he's in his own malteser world no doubt..

but are there players in other countries that have the potential to be as ludicrous as the shermanator?

some suggestions

from Oz - S Smith, M Johnson
from saffies - Morne Morkel (in the team because of the quota)
from the bannies - Youvraj Singh, Turbanator Singh

I think Midg is a fair call for Aus's version of the Belf. Stylish action, looks like he has the potential to dismantle the opposition, but is generally shit except for a once-every-2-year MoM performance. However, I don't believe he even has that outrider performance left in him these days.

Steve Smith seems too rubbish to even be on this shitlist.

Not sure why Morne gets mentioned here ... Hendrik Human, now.

And it must be time for a re-run of Jaques' famous scootering to KFC.

I'm sure Dipsy didn't have the talent of Belf. I guess you mean players with all the ability but rarely put it together when the pressure is on? Get easy runs/wickets but rarely tough ones.

A few of the Indian batsmen must be candidates. Raina fell apart against the short ball over here. Gambhir's been criticised for a lack of toughness as well hasn't he?

Don't think Raina was ever good enough. Gambhir definitely is similar.

Not quite, they actually had shit averages, because they didn't even score runs for England when it was easy... maybe there just weren't many easy runs in those days?

Nonsense, the belf is a 3 times Ashes winner. Are you qunts still writing off the belf after 1 poor winter following 2 VERY good ones? Evil or Very Mad

Belf is still being written off (predominantly by his own countrymen) as a malteser-balled under-achiever, unable to cut it psychologically at Test level. Like Hick. Like Ramps.

My earlier post was short-hand for this, JKL.

I didn't think I had to spell it out - but a) this place has gone to the dogs; and b) if you're not here for a while, the ability to detect such nuance disappears quickly.

I still think he's your next captain.

Gotta be a make or break time for him, this next year. He should be tested a lot of the time.
