Decent keeping by Beddy, decent bowling by Treddy.

Looks like SA is heading for another mediocre score. Been slow too. AB fails yet again to build a significant score on this tour. He will be immensely disappointed.

SA's ODI batting is pretty average.

Elgar is a limited and tedious player. Even when Peterson is humming along trying to give their total some respectability he still struggles to get it off the square. How they select him above Miller is a bit odd.

So they make 220. Poor batting display again. With AB not firing this summer their batting has not gained momentum in the middle-order. England should be able to chase this down without too many worries.

Hmmm. Overconfidence twice in a row?
Maybe SAf's second string is not as strong as I thought.

I'm not sure DeV realised, when he was issuing orders in Afrikaans, Kieswetter was batting.

Back to numero uno in ODIs. What a joke!

I mean, one does have to congratulate lil Ronnie KS and his even more sedate bredwin IJL Trott, but again the score SA got allowed them to just coast along without even having to get out of their comfort zone - it just, again, meant the other batsmen had to. I don't like it. It's like Polyfilla.

Good win to England. Trottski and Belf were doing it easy while I watched.

Yes just like last match when I suggested that they should shore up their batting and that they had the balance wrong. They remedied that with their selections but their middle-order was pox again. We'll agree to disgree about Elgar - you rate him, on what I've seen I don't. He crawled along again. Does he realise that you need to bat with some urgency in ODIs? Seemed a bit limited in his strokeplay.

Agree with Red. Based on what I saw last night, Elgar is gash.

I didn't know that they were. Worst team ever to be rated number one in ODIs, sure. You only have to look at their performances in ALL meaningful ODI competitions over the last twenty years to know England are and have always been one of the poorest sides around.
Nothing has changed.

Maybe rather than ridiculing you should put forward some constructive arguments to defend Elgar.

There is no point in debating cricket with you.
1. You are pigheaded.
2. You are blatantly one-eyed.
3, Your mind is shut to any rational arguments.
I will therefore refer to you as POES in future (Pigeheaded One-Eyed Shutminded)
