You could hear the relish in her voice as she said "I'm signing your death certificate".

Plus her calling out his bullshit letter of contrition by pointing out that in his submission to the Court he said he was tricked into pleading guilty by the police.

Yeah when a couple of hundred women who were once young girls call you a qunt you don't really need a jury or a judge. Though the civil libertarian in me finds that offensive, the Dad in me doesn't.

Yet another Ballarat Christian goes to gaol for abusing kids. Ballarat is of course the Pellvert's backyard.
Time to call out these religious frauds and hucksters, be it christian hucksters, Buddhis sponsored by Nike and the gullible, Muslim officials spreading crap etc.

It would appear justice has prevailed. Are there others taking him to court over rape allegations?

I see the highest ranking Catholic official ever has been committed for trial on several abuse charges.

Some resolution on this today. The piece of crap father was sentenced to life today. He'll be eligible for parole when he is 75.

I note the CC Arch Bishop of Adelaide has been convicted of not referring a Ped Priest to authorities. First of potentially many cases involving clerics who covered up abuse.

Aus media can't report it
I can't find a relevant thread (I considered Aditya's Anal Eroticism thread ) so here's a new one.
Massive headlines in Aus papers. CENSORED - meaning a massive story can't be reported due to Victorian court suppression order.
For those who don't know...from Washington Post (where it can be reported)...
I imagine horrie will be giggling.

- Spoiler:
- The story is, indeed, a blockbuster, especially for Australian citizens: Cardinal George Pell, sometimes described as the third-most-powerful Vatican official, was convicted of all charges that he sexually molested two choirboys in Australia in the late 1990s. (Pell, 77, has been the Vatican’s chief financial officer in recent years; he earlier was the archbishop of Sydney and of Melbourne.)

Widely covered on social media AND all major overseas media, making the suppression order rather pointless.

Well if we can't read it in the LMPFSP, that at least makes it more likely to be true....

Re: Jimmy Savile
Just remembered this thread.
Fromage, can you please merge the new "Aus media can't report it" thread with this one.
Meanwhile, Poo Snr has had his rape of two 9 year olds case in California dismissed on the grounds that a stroke has left him a vegoid. No justice for the kiddies but perhaps justice for Daddy Poo.

Nein ran a story in tonight's news about the Pope not renewing certain Cardinals' tenures, but steared clear of the other story.

Not giggling Skully. I know several folk who were sexually abused as kids, inc one by a priest and another by a Scout Master. My sister is a trick cyclist treating women with eating disorders. She says many were abused as kids.
No-one should be shocked by this conviction. I expect the suppression order is in place because there will be an appeal. Who knows? The appeal could be successful and he may be innocent of the particular charges.
The point of it all is the Pellvert's consistent pattern of denial of problems in the Church. He lived with the loathsome Ridsdale and denied knowledge of that man's depredations. My Ballarat mates tell me his nickname as a kid of "Big Gearge" stuck. He was renowned as a bully.
I note the Pope has sacked him. Good, though belated. He should have been heaved on the basis of evidence before the Royal Commission. It was evident the man lacked empathy. Let's see how this all plays out.
