I know Tasmania is well, the land before time but when do you think they'll realise that they can only bat for 20 overs?

Lucky the batsmen clicked and didn't get out - Birt very lucky. They were going quite slow with 8 overs left.

I'd imagine they gave him last night off in order to get over the whole retirement thing and come back in a few days feeling fresh.

Yeah....but they won & thats all that matters in T20. How you win is irrelevant.

You've got to be kidding-

http://www.espncricinfo.com/big-bash-league-2012/content/current/story/596803.html

"Brad Young has become the latest veteran spinner to join the Big Bash League after signing with the Adelaide Strikers. Young, 39, has been confirmed as the team's replacement for his fellow left-arm orthodox bowler Jon Holland, who will miss the entire BBL season while recovering from shoulder surgery."

So there's absolutely no one else apart from a washed up old 39 year old former spinner who hasn't played proper cricket for 10 years? The Big Bash is a laughing stock.

PMSL. The potential folly of T20 will be revealed to all the Gen Y fans at the WACA when they have to trudge home after an hour with no possibility of a refund.

All grade cricketers more or less (ones from Vic) coming in because Scorchers can't sign players that don't break down. 2 Marshs, Cummins, dodgy International signings etc
