A few runs for Fork here might secure an Ashes spot.

Really happy for Rhino.
Why? History says he's already bowled too many overs in this match and will likely break down.

Fork has locked and loaded his Ashes ticket here.
And if Paine can eke out a ton, who knows.

Whew!! Fork & Paine now both on 66 n.o. Tas 6/178 with an overall lead of 372.
They should bat for an hour into tomorrow & then let the billies take their chances on that wicket i reckon.

Fork must tour. He is a better allrounder than Reeks and Yoody, and his left arm seamers will be very handy in England.
Weed has done himself no favours after an abysmal effort with the gloves in the Indian series. Haddit is old, so I wouldn't complain if Timmy Paine was chosen as the no. 1 gloveman for the Ashes.

The heroics of Rhino, Fork, Butters etc may have been in vain. It has been revealed that there is not a single national selector at the game. Just another piece of ineptitude from CA, especially in view of the complete failure of the indian tourists.

They're not there because NSW is not involved.

I guess in the selector's defence, the game is being covered live on Fox Sports.
