Blimey! Chris Jordan takes 6/48 on debut for Sussex - I haven't checked but I wouldn't be surprised if that's a career best.

I see Ed Cowan got some good time in English conditions, along with George Bailey. Glad to see it - our counties do like to give tourists a jolly good sighter.

And then I read this (from Jan 25): Wayne White has left Leicestershire after deciding he no longer wanted to play for the club. He has joined Lancashire on a three-year deal.

So Lancs is now taking flouncy lowest-of-the-low Leics rejects. Great.

On a lighter note, ot seems Worcs took a visit to the Proctologist.

Where the hell have you been? White is quite useful - reasonably nippy, decent lower order batsman. Been about for a few years.

Must have slipped under my radar.

Still, Chris Jordan is proving that you can come back from such a burden - albeit the recovery period is about five years.

I don't think George Bailey scored 93 runs in the entire Sheffield Shield season just passed.

Should cement him come July.
