County 2nd XI feat deserves headlines? Oh well, I guess if I smoked 6 zacks in as many balls in District Cricket I'd want a write up. 2 in one over was the best I ever managed.

Er, the point I was making was the 6 x 6s story was written up in Cricinfo, an international Cricket website, that usually limits its coverage to FC cricket and above (as far as I'd observed).
But carry on narking - it seems to be your main play these days.

I reckon 6 x 6 anywhere is a feat that's eminently sneezeworthy ...
County Div 2 would be a hell of a lot higher than most of us have played and 6 x 6 has not remotely been on on the horizon anywhere I've seen in 40 years of playing and purveying pies

**cough** 2nd XI **cough**
But, I agree.
Re: 36 in 6 again: this might become common with small grounds and T20
yes, my mistake
I'd completely forgotten that you actually had two "divisions" at 'the top level' these days; as artificial as this will always be unless the best players move between teams when teams move between divisions

Some people think that's the case, but I'm not so sure myself.
Re: 36 in 6 again: this might become common with small grounds and T20
There's a lot of good players in 'second division', surely.
It just means all teams, whether first or second division, will be a bit patchy. I wonder if it might not end up being that the teams with the best "impact' overseas players occupy first division?

At the minute, most of the England players are from Div 1 - but they've all had their spells in Div 2. I think it's pretty much as it used to be - 18 teams all lumped in together, some shit some not. But the better players are gravitating towards Div 1 - but it's a bit pot luck as to whether they'll actually be in the top division.
But I think you've got a point about the overseas player(s) - Warks won last year with a pretty 'English' side, but they were helped by Jeetan Patel who took 50 wickets in no time.
