Google Maps and Street View- Woefully out of date
Most of the images in Australia are from 2009-10. Best not to rely on them to find your way around.....

Would be massively expensive to keep it up to date. I think most people realise this.

And how much money do Google have?

"With a market cap of $250 billion, Google (GOOG) is the largest internet information provider in the world. "
Yeah, I reckon they could afford it. They could at least update their maps every year.

People did seem to be able to find their way around before the internet.

Aye. I'm struggling to find a vehicle in front of me as I drive to and from work these days that doesn't have a farkin GPS glowing at me out their back window. FMD, people are geographically dyslexic these days. I follow the same people to work and from work every day and yet they still "need" their GPS to get where they are going. FFS, does being i-Gen mean you no longer have a memory or commonsense???JGK wrote:Henry wrote:Most of the images in Australia are from 2009-10. Best not to rely on them to find your way around.....

I used to love playing with tourists asking stupid questions like "How do I get from Mount Isa to Darwin".

Well actually my point was that getting from Mt Isa to Darwin is pretty simple. Turn left outside your motel and turn right at the the T junction 750km away. Stop when you start getting wet.
But yeah Tony McGrady is a real arsehole.
