That was plumb. I can't understand why Dar didn't give it out straight away.

Ridiculous. There was a clear deflection.

That was weird. The hotspot pics showed nothing but the live one looked like a deflection.
Dar's reaction clearly showed he thought there was a deflection.
Starc on a hat trick after tea.

So, Root opening, great success so far... he'll be back to Yorkshire before the summer's out, and wait about 4 years for another shot at it, rather than steadily building his reputation in the middle order.
England heads have gone completely, anyway. Wouldn't rule out this finishing tonight!

Yeah, I agree beamer. I can see us folding like the quivering wrecks we are. Good times.

On the plus side, I've got Starc in my fantasy team so at least I'll have some points today.
Hang on, I've got Trott as well. Minus points for ducks. Bollocks.

I thought the third umpire couldn't overrule the on-field umpire unless there was compelling evidence.
It looked like an inside edge, the side on hotspot was unavailable due to a technical problem, therefore how can he overrule the decision?
Re: England v Australia, 1st Test, Trent Bridge, 10-14 July, 2013 (II)
Why didn't Erasmus do the sensible thing and trust A) The best umpire in the world, and B) His own eyes? Ridiculous.

There was no deflection.
Some of you are just easily tricked by camera angles. We see the bat partially block out the ball just as it makes impact with the pad. The ball looks like it's moving off its line (because its force is pushing into the pad) but it's already well past the bat.

How will KP play the hat-trick ball then? Switch hit, lbw hitting middle half way up probably.

Lets not sook about umpiring decisions, it's done and dusted now.
Set up nicely for a counter-attacking KP hundred.

Feet all over the place, and that trademark "Ooorrrr" when he's completely flummoxed by a delivery. 11-3.

If we lose this I think we should follow the Aussies' example and sack the coach before the next one. And not to replace him with Ashley Giles...

Never fear - I Ronald's here. To lead the fightback. By chipping one neatly into the bowler's hands, at nice catching height. 11-4.

You have just identified the flaw in your own line of argument.
Pilo will be licking his lips.
Relishing the chance, earlier than expected, to mastermind the last steps over the cliff.
