Prevalence of the words 'lads' in cricket

It's always been used in football but that's ok really because I know that it's largely played and commented on by a bunch of knuckle dragging thunder f**ktards but I noticed the other day that Michael Atherton used the term.

And then David Gower used it.

And then I wanted to shoot myself.

What do I do?
