While Cold Spot deserved the axe at least until they can solve the issues of this summer, surely it should be the ICC making the call not individual broadcasters? What's to stop say Sky providing only the technological tools they think will benefit England for a home series...

Monst of the mistakes made in regards to the DRS during the Ashes were human error, not hotspot error. I've never seen a hotspot appear on a bat when a batsman DIDN'T hit the ball, so why not just keep it as a backup to the audio and normal cameras?

A bit of a shame that the technology was found wanting. Initially it seemed to be a fail-safe way of detecting an edge.
