Meanwhile, Pak fans writing into Crocinfo are unhealthily delusional:
Waqar: "I still reckon Pak can win this game. If the batters apply themselves, they will get runs...Even a lead of 125 runs will make a match out of this on day-5"

Oi skully - what's the highest score in the second innings of a match when the other side has been dismissed for less than 100 in the first innings?

For the same side, I'm pretty sure it's 475 in this match.JGK wrote:Oi skully - what's the highest score in the second innings of a match when the other side has been dismissed for less than 100 in the first innings?
England crumbled for just 75 in the 1st innings but amassed 475 in the 2nd to set Aus 428, which they fell short of.
For the other side:
Batting first, I reckon it's 643 by Pak v NZ (73) in this match. It was Inzi's 329 and Chucktar's 6-11 game.
Batting 2nd, I reckon it's 5d-555 by SL v BD (90) in this match.

If it was Pakistan accused and not South Africa, I doubt they'd still be on the field right now.

So Faf with some zip/ball friction in front of the cameras. A bit silly.

Some cringeworthy moments on TV as Saffer commentators seem to try and get Waqar to admit that he/ they/ Pakistan also tampered with the ball in 1992....

Faf was the designated 'shiner' acting under instructions from his skipper. A typically saffy team effort run for a long time apparently.

Ouch, the TV pictures don't look good on this.
But it begs the question why anyone would feel the need to tamper with the ball when their team is so far ahead in the game??

No reverse swing for the saffy pacemen once the ball was changed. In the first innings, they had the ball reversing just 20 overs in the game. There's perhaps the clue how they got "so far ahead in the game" in the first place.
