I quite enjoy watching cricket in New Zealand. At least they play test cricket on traditional cricket grounds.
This is likely to be a competition to see who can be the least crap, though. And isn't it about time Vettori made a comeback? Seems he's been injured for well over a year now? And I noticed he's playing domestic cricket. Surely he has to come straight back into the NZ side?

There are more Snoozies in the "West Indies" team in the practice match than West Indians.
The unscheduled series cocked up their preparation.

England made them look like world beaters last winter. Disciplined, steady bowling to attacking fields should do for the Windies as it nearly did for the pale Windies.skully wrote:Possibly a competitive series? Or Snoozies to smash 'em?

They usually don't play test on the rugby grounds. Dunedin, Christchurch, Queenstown...they're all lovely grounds.Brass Monkey wrote:Heh. The young leggie. Hasn't even played a great deal of FC cricket. But they picked him in Bangla and they say he did alright, in parts.tricycle wrote:No Bracewell?

Got some runs as well, IIRC.
Re: New Zealand v West Indies, 1st Test, Dunedin, 3-7 December, 2013
Cheers. Just going by his stats, how did he get picked?
Apparently toured India and Sri Lanka with the A team.... okay, that may not have helped his average.

Mebbe so. But he's fulfilling a useful Test role so far.
It's not T20, is it.

Jayzus, Fulton is the type of player you didn't bother getting out in my playing days, because you knew his sleepy batting wasn't hurting you.

How crap is the over rate? Only 25 minutes to scheduled close, no?
Then again, it's not like umpires do anything about poor over rates nowadays.
