Cripes, more than half way through an odi and no posts. It is like some body has done us all a favour and unplugged the jukebox because that game has lost its taste now

Always worth a when India plays like this. And on their own soil. Might say a couple of things- 1)India are abysmal, 2) England are beyond abysmal for losing to them.

Welly well well. Just a good effort by the Ganjas, or was JtB involved? I find the latter hard to believe given the "GDP of a small country" salaries of the Bannies.

Watched much of the Indian innings. Was pretty tedious stuff as Coaly looked for form. MSD gave the innings much needed impetus late. Seems the 260+ score was way too many for the Ganjas.

Samuels MoM. Single handedly killed the West Indian innings' flow.

Oh yeah, a cyclone caused the abandonment of the fourth odi.
Unbeaten in the last two matches. Sweet.

Australia’s clean sweep of the ODI series against Pakistan means Darren Lehmann’s side will hold the world’s No.1 ranking until they come up against South Africa in Australia next month.
Quick Single: Maxwell pulls off mission impossible
With the third One-Day International between India and West Indies cancelled due to a cyclone in Visakhapatnam, and the series currently level at one-all, India cannot win the four matches they required to retain top spot on the ICC rankings.
Quick Single: India back on level terms
If India were to win both remaining ODI fixtures against West Indies, they will have accumulated 113.98 rankings points, just 0.02 points behind the Australians, on an even 114.
Defeat to West Indies in both matches would see them drop to 110.84 rankings points, which would place them in fourth position behind Australia, South Africa and Sri Lanka (111.46).
Australia were the world’s No.1-ranked ODI side as recently as late August, before a shock defeat to Zimbabwe in the tri-series in the African nation saw them slip to fourth position.
Between September 2009 and August 2012, they reigned supreme at the top of the tree, but haven’t had it all their own way since, with South Africa and Sri Lanka, as well as the Indians, all vying for the sought-after position.
Amazingly, the Proteas, who beat Australia in the final of that recent tri-series, are less than one rankings point behind both sides, on 113.21.
The Australians host South Africa in five ODIs in Australia from November 14-23 as both sides ramp up their preparation ahead of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Moral number 1. Robbed by the weather.
Also, the fourth ODI was scheduled before the third. No way I got simple counting wrong.

That's the thing, though, isn't it? WGAF about #1 status? The WC is all that matters. ATM, it's even money on about 5 teams. One of those five teams isn't England.

NGAF about #1 ranking as long as it isn't the banindians

It would have been some statement had they put on a real show of their talents to show the world what they are missing out on.
Instead they produced one of the shoddiest fielding displays I've ever seen. And I've seen India play a lot.

From the Cricinfo commentary -
More on drama of the day --- WICB release: "The West Indies Cricket Board advises, that, contrary to media reports, it has taken no decision to discontinue the ongoing tour to India. The WICB will make a further statement following the conclusion of the Fourth One Day International which is in progress."
But then a bit later -
Don: "@Rupesh - According to Sanjay Patel the WI team manager Richie Richardson emailed them about WI pulling out so why would BCCI wait for a press release when they were emailed by one of the WI officials thats the tours been called off. It feels like maybe some of the WI officials were not aware of the decision to pull out of the India tour till the news started coming out in the media, which in my opinion would be even more embarrassing for WI."

Seems the decision is unconfirmed, but if they go through with it surely a significant suspension from international cricket is in order for them? They will have failed to fulfil international cricket fixtures and that can't be allowed to happen, if the team originally selected refuses to take part then they need to send a scab team out there to complete the schedule, as they did with that Bangladesh series a few years ago.
