Re: The Jingle Bails advent calendar 2014
December 2nd
- Spoiler:
- Alastair Cook wrote:Giles says that I'm as precious as baby Jesus. Maybe I am Jesus, after all I was born on Christmas Day. Jesus wasn't a quitter, neither am I. Shane Warne crucified me, like the Romans did to Jesus. The Romans nailed Jesus to the cross, Johnson nailed me going back and across. Yeah.. come to think of it, Giles is sort of like Joseph: he's not quite my dad, but he loves me anyway.

It's cheating if you just use a real photograph.

And D, is that a Joe Root silhouette, or Belf in the banner? Â

Re: The Jingle Bails advent calendar 2014
Dunno - I stole the silhouette ready-made.
If I had to guess (I flipped the image, it was originally a southpaw) I'd go with Andrew Strauss. Compact, leaning back, not properly over the top of a cover drive. The clues fit.
Actually, it's a bit of a mind-bender. The more you look at it, you can see a RHB or a LHB.

She spins me right round, baby, right round.
Clockwise.
No. The other way.
My brain hurts. Anyway, she's naked, so that's all that matters.

I'm one of those tards that struggles to get her to go the other way. She spins clockwise to me.

The twenty degrees of flex was a nice touch.

That's exactly how I see him. Only a bit more qunty.
Re: The Jingle Bails advent calendar 2014
Interesting earlier point by Dello on the silhouettes. I can see a Steve Smith cover drive looking from point and a Dave Warner cover drive looking from square leg, and a Terry Alderman delivery looking from cover and a Mike Whitney ball looking from mid-off.

Top work Monkeh .... classy.
Cookie looks so warm and snug in the Sith's embrace!
What's not to like about the pair?!!

Nah Skulls ... far too elegant for Smiffer ... definitely the Belfie's cover drive.
The spinner is an anomaly, however.
I'm guessing he's a leftie ... so no one in particular comes to mind...

Re: The Jingle Bails advent calendar 2014
Am I just a bit too sensitive to Cooky's obvious discomfort in BM's first offering, or ... oh, never mind.
It is a just and righteous satire, and well montaged too. But one of those "Office" things that doesn't quite fill me with seasonal cheer because it's too painfully close to the truth.
The new banner is intriguing. It must be an England opener, since he's playing the delivery way too early.
Isn't the bowler "Rubberleg" Robben, the Zimbabwean bits-and-pieces man?
It's defo an improvement with the silhouettes added, but that title, hmmm babes, I don't know. Looks a bit ripped off from a dodgy Thai site, or something. Not very crisp, not very hi-res, bit cheap and cheerless somehow, more frayed bead curtain than gorgeous velvet bedspread, darling.
I still love Dello, though. And salute his unquenchable innovanativitiness as ever.

Good spot dance.
It's amazing what you can do with a body stocking.
Clearly anti-clockwise, Skulls.

I had to make the bowler silhouette, so I know exactly who it is.
A leftie spinner? Nought out of two.

My schtick I'm afraid. You're going to be in a world of pain on the even days!

Stale Dane? He tucks his lead arm in pretty tight - same as the pic.
Re: The Jingle Bails advent calendar 2014
Nice work, Dan.
I like the two different styles you both go for, Dello with the one (or two) liners and Danny with the comedy prose. Compliment each other nicely.

Cheers man, yeah - I was thinking on my favourite and it had to be this one:
