Fine weather forcast for the next two days.

Phurt at Nath and Skully - there is plenty of time left for a result. Already the match has seen some fine individual performances, particularly from Voges and more can be expected. The match will go to the wire unless there is some unexpected collapse

Keep it going Bushrangers. If we get a first innings lead the pressure will go on the Sandgropers to force a result and expediting proceedings could militate against them. The inclement weather was certainly favourable to us.

Looks like it will be all square after the first innings; WA will need to make runs fairly quickly to set a tasty target whilst still leaving time for an unlikely win. There may be promotions in the batting order for Whiteman, Agar, Rimmington, and especially 'pinch-hitter' Coulter-Nile.
I still have hopes there may be a result late on day 5.

WA take a 40 run lead into the second innings. They will want at least 200 runs in what is left of today, and perhaps a very few tomorrow, before leaving VIC a target of 250+ in 75-85 overs. Needs to be tasty enough for Vic to have a go.
Vic made 40 fewer runs than WA, in 20 more overs. Non-wozzie crabs.

40 run lead
might be important that the vomit tail didnt swing the bat ...might also be important that they wasted 20 odd overs
Go wozzies

I think the pathetically defensive approach from VIC (no slips, sweepers stopping fours but allowing singles and doubles everywhere) may yet play into WA's hands ... at least insofar as WA setting a target is concerned.

furry muff ... pretty hopeless effort by Hussey
Also: Pattinson pulls up lame in his run-up on the last ball before tea; straight off the field.
So that's 4 sessions to go, including 96 overs tomorrow (94 allowing for a change of innings).

CA website says 141 overs left ...so that's probably nowhere near the number

Certainly hard to imagine they'll get 45 overs in the last session today! Perhaps 35, although the Victorians have understandably moved like slugs.

I'm not worried about tomorrow, there's supposed to be a minimum of 96 overs in the day, weather permitting, or 94 if there's a change of innings, and you can bet that WA will want to bowl every over available to them.
I'm more worried about how few overs Vic will bowl in this last session today. They obviously won't bowl 45.

He's not expected to bowl again this afternoon, and he's done his slim WI and Ashes tour chances no favours.

Re: ***Shield Final 2014-15 - Stinky Vics v Sandy Vags, 21-25 March, 2015***
OK, an update.
36 overs still to be bowled today.
Minimum of 96 tomorrow, minus 2 if the change of innings occurs during tomorrow's play.
WA currently lead by 111.
I think they would need to score another 150 in the remainder of today's play to even think about an overnight declaration, which would set Victoria a target of 262 off 96 overs.
More likely they will score less quickly than that, and eat into some of tomorrow's overs ... though they won't want to use up too many.
