Masters 2015
Lucky Luke Donald 50th in the cut off last week, around a hundredth of a ranking point ahead of Marc Warren.
Weather good for the par 3 challenge and all such nonsense. Rain possibility later... hopefully not.
Westwood's been steady apart from the missed cut last week, but they were piss easy conditions. He should be in contention, only to miss out somewhere. If it is to Lahiri, all is good in this world. Just as long as it's not Jordan bloody Spieth.

As I was reading your post I was thinking "surely Jordan Spieth will win it".
As you say, hopefully bloody not.

Re: Masters 2015
I'd prefer a Tiger win over that whingy prick. Speaking of Tiger, again seems to have been pushed into a major without being ready. I'm calling it, missed cut.
He's going to win it now.

Re: Masters 2015
Nah, missed cut is far more likely. It's getting to the stage now where he might not win another major, he's not too old yet but his game has been deteriorating for years and he is running out of time to turn it around. I would think it's a safe bet that Nicklaus' record of 18 majors is pretty safe, although he did win his last major at 46 so who knows.

Re: Masters 2015
He doesn't give himself, or he isn't give an opportunity to give himself, a chance to recover. I would've thought that he'd have needed half a year out at least given how his swing was. Rose needed a medical extension just to retain his European Tour card a year (maybe 2) before his US Open win. Played his best golf after that.
Nicklaus' record seems quite safe, but would be brave to write off a fit Woods from winning another major.

Not writing him off, but at this point it wouldn't be a huge surprise if he didn't.

Could be worse. It could be Bubba Watson

Big time. Was beaten by Els at the wgc matchplay last year. All sorts of shenanigans on the course and didn't even congratulate him in the post match interview. Got a very self entitle air about him.

I think of Spieth as "Spittoon". I also think he is a member of the god botherer sect that infects the USPGA tour.

He was not alone in the seppo side. He had the added disadvantage of being an iPrick though.

I thought Reed was the worst, but understand that we should limit our judgement only to human beings.G.Wood wrote:taipan wrote:tricycle wrote:Big time. Re: Masters 2015
I'm inclined to agree with all the above wisdom and to be honest I look at most young sportsmen of today as total douches. However, I just wonder if Spieth (and this probably applies to many of today's sportsmen) is basically immature.
Not directly related to that point but he's from Dallas for starters - that is an odd and cut-off place. And is big God botherer country. So that already puts him at a major disadvantage.
I reckon he's been primed for golf, and to be a winner, from an early age and as such has probably got a very limited world view and zero life experience outside of golf range-golf course-hotel. Kind of like the Tiger Woods route to the top. So give the kid a break as in about 10 years, he'll rebel, start nailing low life trailer trash to while away the wee hours and as his world unravels in public he'll hopefully become a bit more interesting.

Re: Masters 2015
Well put Lindsay. Child prodigies have very little chance of growing up normal. Being one in the States only compounds that.
However, for all the same reasons Ricky Fowler should be a pr1ck but for some reason I found him more likeable than the other new breed of seppo golfers.

Be nice if a winner thanked God for ignoring the prayers of the god botherers.
Probably need a couple of security guards to ever play again.....but.

Kind of makes you want to see an Indian player win it and thank all of the Hindu gods. That would go down well with the Georgians

Re: Masters 2015
All true and valid, but in that time I will hope that all his attempts fail and he becomes an overrated Boo Weekley. But this is where I think the European Challenge tour has helped in creating fewer twats.Lindsay no.2 wrote:I'm inclined to agree with all the above wisdom and to be honest I look at most young sportsmen of today as total douches.
