Could go on till the US Open.G.Wood wrote:Kind of makes you want to see an Indian player win it and thank all of the Hindu gods. That would go down well with the Georgians

Was Oosthuizen's back okay last week? Would say he's comfortably in the top 5 if he weren't always injured.
I'm tipping Westwood and Lahiri, btw. 1 and 2 in any order.

Almost all of the young Seppo golfers are tools. They're either spoilt brats, or god-loving, self righteous hicks.
The one who seems to be the nicest and has the best attitude is Ricky Fowler.

Yeah, although Uilhein and Koepka are brilliant. Just go on their work with minimal fuss. Also Challenge Tour graduates.
Does Dustin Johnson still count as young? I'd say so. Like him quite a bit, regardless of being a pisshead. Haven't seen too much of Horschel, but he seems better than the others too.

It's surprising that 18 years after Tiger burst onto the scene winning the 1997 Masters, they haven't had another African American regularly (or at all?) playing on the PGA tour.
Golf still hasn't shredded it's "sport for rich white men" reputation.

It's not a black man's sport yet. It is less than 30 years ago that Augusta National was overtly racist.
But Koreans and Eastern Asian origin Americans are doing more than well.

Miguel Angel Jimenez, Lee Westwood, Anirbhan Lahiri
That is the perfect threesome.... well, apart from Scarlett Johansson, Keeley Hazell and I.

Re: Masters 2015
ESPN did a poll of pro golfers and found that Bubba Watson was the most disliked golfer on tour (23%) followed by Patrick Reed (11%). I don't know what on earth the other 66% were thinking

Allenby was 4th...Fat Phil was for many years the most disliked player.
Bubba is a yee -ha god bothering hunker down and testifier...he won his first Masters courtesy of a southern cheat in the crowd
from what a few Oz pros have said, blubber is detested

Re: Masters 2015
I'd just finished bitching about past winners over a certain age still getting an invite. Then his score popped up. Doh!
Still. I probably could have shot a 71 there today.

In the right conditions, using the normal club layout, a really experienced caddy, a few mulligans and a playing partner who couldn't count.

Re: Masters 2015
I'd have no problem with a legend like Tom Watson winning this - not that he's remotely likely to, the 72 holes in 4 days will catch up with him, most likely sometime tomorrow I'd guess - but if 65-year-old Cletus Paspalumsucker from Deepnaharta, TX, whose previous best finish in a Tour event was fifth at the 1978 Gopher Droppings Open, ever got close to winning a major, THEN there would be trouble, and re-writing of the rules.
Re Bubba: It'd be a bit rude to single him out for being one Amen-snorter among a tribe of Amen-snorters. We're over-thinking this and ignoring the obvious. He calls himself Bubba. The End.
