This looks like an announcement from a young player the like of which we haven't seen since Tiger in '97... could be a big rival for Rory over the next decade.

Jason Day and Adam Scott playing together tomorrow. But they are 11 behind Spieth. Maybe he will blow up??

Tiger slipping down the board though he's done remarkably well to be where he is. I fully expected him to turn up, shoot a couple of 80s and disappear off into the sunset, perhaps for good. But great champions have a habit of proving people wrong I suppose...

The only hope for a decent finish is Spieth choking on Amen Corner.

Would have to be a complete Van de Velde now, a mere Norman or Scott wouldn't be enough to let the others back in...

Everyone knows that Rory McIlroy plays his best when he has got golf under his belt, so why the hell was the Masters his first tournament in three weeks? He played poorly for the first two rounds before finding his groove in rounds three and four. Was he injured/sick?

Geez, Spieth is already going bald at 21. The hair transplant companies will be scrambling to get his signature.

Just looked a bit average in the tournaments that he did play then.

Average tournament, and in true Jordan Spieth style, congratulating the winner is optional. Moving on, Players and US Open.... US Open in chambers bay this year, which is a very links like course. Should be interesting.

I turned off when he just cleared the drink at 13.

I'm so out of it now, but it seems that Tiger's comebacks are going on for ever. Fodder for satire soon, if it isn't already.

Seriously, the big, bad scary act doesn't work on today's superstar kids. They're not intimidated by you as they only know you as some crocked semi has-been.

So go out there with a smile, be loose, enjoy it whilst you can as your fragile body may not last much longer.

How about I amend that statement as follows:

Have you ever seen an angrier, more tightly wound billionaire, multiple major winning guy on the golf course than him. :-)

Yeah, I was being a bit facetious.

Struver broke his putter in anger once. Snapped it like a biscuit. Lorenzo Vera had all sorts of shenanigans in him. But he's French, so one can give him a pass on human tendencies.

Historically, Tommy Bolt was considered to be one of the angriest golfers to have played the game at a high level.
