More importantly...

Tim Bresnan has taken 1 for 11.

With form like that he's a shoo in for the Ashes.

And Finn has bowled 3 overs for 1 run - so he's obviously brilliant again.

All is well in the land of Moores.

Reporting that Moores is done.

Super Strauss is about to come in and give Pete his P45.

Who he's lined up to replace him with is anyone's guess, but I'll have a punt based on Paul Collingwood being his actual "best friend in cricket" and Ashley Giles, just because. One of them.

To be sacked once, could be considered careless, but to be sacked twice.........................

Goodness, the Guardian reporting that Strauss is keen to get Nick Knight on board as part of the set up.

Nick Knight.

Nick.

Knight.

Certainly English cricket has all the dimensions of a Shakespearean tragedy right now, with villains aplenty. This probably means they will rise from The Ashes with that particular prize ...
