Absolutely no idea. If he crocks his knee again - that's it end of career I would imagine. But if by some miracle, he stays fit and bowls something like he did in 2005, we won't see him for dust as he will be back in the England set-up, although that's what we should all be hoping for.
Chances are the reality will somewhere in-between - that he plays regularly, but is now a 75mph trundler.

In some ways, it was a curious signing. Mind you the thought of Jonah and Polly bowling together does get the juices flowing a bit!
Aye Bas, imagination is a wonderful gift humans have......

In one of his outings for Glamorgan last season, which was televised, he was getting the ball down at 85 m.p.h. and was just cantering up to the crease. The problems seem to start when he starts putting some effort in. I don't think he would settle for being a trundler - i think it'll be all or nothing.

Talking of Yorkshire - seems we're not the only cricket forum on forumotion (although we're the biggest and baddest).
This one http://facricket.topicboard.net/ seems to have Yorkshire's Chris Taylor on board, writing his own exclusive 'diary'.
How exciting...

He's a splitter if he is (and dead to me).
Don't think so though - there's no shrine to Sir Mark of Ramprakash that I can see.

I can see that now I've had a good look. Odd that there's two Leos who worship the gods of cricket though.....

Ex Derbyshire legend Chris Taylor??! Wow. His diary should go something like "Day 1 - My name's Chris Taylor. I'm pretty awesome at one day cricket but can't play proper cricket for toffee".

Dello - is it possible to make this board the same as the Yorkshire one, in that you don't have to log in when you just want to read the board?

Yes.
Re: Pollock Retires
I think if you did, more people would sign up. A lot of people on C4 just used to lurk and read and then sign up after a few months. I think people want to see how good the forum is before they sign up.
It's also a pain having to log in when you just want to read, rather than post.

Or, conversely, perhaps people who are already signed in are more inclined to contribute something, even if they were just dropping by to have a quick browse...

As was yours.
Could've gone either way, but I prefer this system. Join up if you want a slice of the Bails magic.
If not, fook off.

But what if you've never experienced the bails magic? How do you know what you're missing?

Take a chance. What have you got to lose?
I don't think you'd survive here if you were some prissy try-before-you-buy type anyway.

Some will probably be 'extra' IDs from a couple of forummers who want to test my patience, but yes, by and large we're ticking along okay.
