Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
Bookies have them down to 78 seats and the senate worse than it is now. Money on Turnbull not being PM at xmas time might be worth a look.
Keating was right about the "Trots". That's exactly what the movers and shakers of this crowd once were and proud of it. DiNdick may be one of the most dangerous politicians we've seen since.................???

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
The one sensible thing Stalin did was tackling Trotskyism...tho for the wrong reasons.
Put one Trot in an old telephone box and he/she will emerge as General Secretary of one Party and Commissar of another...plus they will sign up to three more.
i am currently in a very isolated part of the world without an address.
I have been advised by the Electoral Commission, I can vote in Mexico City where there is an embassy (you cant vote at the vol consulate in San Jose the capital of Costa Rica).
Even if my 'waiting for tattsgodot" was rewarded I would not fly to MCity to vote.....sad the Sex Party will not get my vote - taxing religious and other scifi nonsense institutions was the only decent policy I have seen during the 'campaign'.
Where i am at the moment is almost off the grid...internet is poor and electricity is intermittent (the joint only got powered 10-12 years ago)...
I am in a place called Drake Bay on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. Population is about 250 people. It is on the edge of a national park where 2.5% of the WORLD's bio diversity is represented....have been hiking, snorkelling and fishing.
The feathered birdlife is amazing and I count species. Am worried that in my old, old age I have become a 'twitcher'. Fark - next I will become a west oz marsh/beanie counter, a qbillyKlan-etroid, etc
Fished a fair way offshore with a local family on their over powered skiff. Caught wahoo, mackerel, red snapper and mahi mahi (dorado/dolphin fish) and have been guaranteed free feeds for me and Ms H while I am here.

Karl asked him when the pinkos last delivered a surplus
Blank face response
Apparently it was 1989
Libs are all over it

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
surplus is irrelevant economically...still Shortpants is an utter joke.
I note Shockey and born again, talk in tongues ScumMo have ignored Treasury advice to prepare for the need for a stimulus package, in the event of a Brexit led international recession.
Still I think any voter/country who supports ScumMo, a self confessed hunker down and testifier and talk in tongues scifi babbler gets what they deserve.
In all probability ScumMo will be PM within 12 months.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
meanwhile.......The Oz govt makes it nigh on impossible to vote when you are os unless you are in a country with an Embassy.
In Costa Rica there is a voluntary consul....useless as tits on a bull or Kjnr as a selector...only there in CR to look after Oz tory wealth in Monsecca type arrangements. The Consul's office is around the corner from me in San Jose, but can we vote there - NO!!!
Ms H and I are now flying to Mexico City for a few days r and r and will vote at the Embassy there. Ms H is happy....me too I guess.
I will do my ritual 4 July US flag burning at their Embassy and do my best to spruik a pan Latin American alliance to nationalise all Trump investments in Central and South America.

Probably the most talented Lib pollie behind the scenes and in the media. Turncoat has been a thorough disappointment in the latter (and probably the former).

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
Interesting that some of the betting patterns that happened re Brexit (more bets on Leave, more money on Remain) seem to be happening in Aust as well:
"We've had three times the number of punters betting on Labor," Mr Bulmer says. "But the big money's coming for the Coalition. Three, four, five figure bets are coming in for the Coalition on a regular basis."

I am going to load up on the Pinkos.
