Troon tomorrow. We had the monstrosity of the 8th at Oakmont, this time it's the postage stamp, a 125 yard par 3. It may even play as low as 95 yards in one of the rounds. Played over par in 2004, though.

McDowell was hitting the ball well at castle sturat.

Kjeldsen in third not far off Mickelson. He won the most miserable edition of the Irish open last year at Royal County Down. Not too shabby on the links.
