Re: Open Championship 2016
Mickelson barely misses eagle. Stenson overcomes trouble to birdie sixteen. Looking extremely calm.

Re: Open Championship 2016
Superb tee shot by Stenson and Mickelson in trouble. Looking like Stenson's open. 8 under in the final round of a major. Mickelson himself at 6 under. Crazy

Madness. 3 wood, 310 yards and a 150+yard wedge.
Nice to see Beef at the sharp end too.

Henrick Stenson wins the Open.
Great to see him finally win a major to cap an outstanding career.
That was an amazing shootout.
Stenson shot a final round 63 to finish 20 under & Mickelson shot 65.

Also, what a great tournament for Southgate. Only back to playing last year after testicular cancer.

Re: Open Championship 2016
Congratulations to the Stent!
(So help me, if I hear one more time Red Symons on 774 spend five minutes outlining his Ann Elk-esque 'my theory which is mine' about golf majors always being won by somebody He (and by extension Us, his audience) had never heard of, whereas tennis majors were always won by the same person. I'll throw my radio into the nearest water hazard!!)

Am I weak if I feel just a little sorry for Phil Mickelson?

just misplaced .... the guy makes Chappelli look like a humanitarian...
It was admittedly a great effort from the 'fatty boomba of golf'

Re: Open Championship 2016
Despite his past brashness, he's one of the guys who carries himself well these days, be it applauding Justin Rose's monster putt in a tight Ryder cup match or as we saw yesterday.

Re: Open Championship 2016
He wasn't even the fattest bloke in the tournament this time....also not the first time it's happened to him, one Masters last day Phil played the second best round of golf I'd seen since Norman's second Open, unforch the best was being played one hole ahead of him by Tiger who was absolutely phenomenal.
