Aussie security at it's best
These 'APEC passes' got a couple of comedians pass two or three security check points:
Classic work.

Re: Aussie security at it's best
A source inside the show has told The Daily Telegraph the team never expected to get so far. The skit had been approved by ABC lawyers but was written in the assumption they would be stopped at the first checkpoint.
Instead they were waved through the first on Macquarie St, then a second, which had sniffer dogs, and eventually stopped themselves at Bridge St.
"As they did Chas got out of a car dressed as Osama bin Laden and said something like 'I'm an important world leader why don't I have a seat at the APEC table?'. Apparently that was the first time the police realised it was not authentic and they swooped in and arrested everybody," the source said.

Re: Aussie security at it's best
And of course the beer-snake-stopping Gestapo that the NSW Police force has become carted the boys of to the local pigsty and charges have been laid.
Australa in general and NSW in particular is rapidly becoming a police state.
Can't see this playing out well for LJH or Beige Morris.
And I reckon some delightful places like Bourke, Lightning Ridge, Tibooburra, Wentworth, Cobar, White Cliffs, and Balranald may well find they have new plods in their local stations very soon. I wouldn't want to be one of teh coppers who waved them through.
The sad part os that the footage they got en route has probably been confiscated and will most likely be kept under lock and key for 100 years as a noational security measure.

Re: Aussie security at it's best
last night the NSW cops pulled over a 3 car convoy of trots (lefties) on the hume highway near tarcutta...searched the cars and found nothing untoward and had to let them go

No funny like a man trying to 'write', say a man named Rushdie. Farking hilarious, actually.

Re: Aussie security at it's best
More like funny as in a man trying to seem intelligent by reading nonsense like that written by Rushdie and then spouting off about it on a cricket forum . . . .

Would have been even funnier if Rushdie had turned up as OBL and received a couple of whacks from the Aussie police. I would have paid to see that.

But not quite as funny as someone boasting about their research to someone on an internet forum. "I'm cleverer than some faceless Pakistani woman I've met on an internet forum. That makes me big and smart". What a sad, sad little man you are.

You need to get rid of that chip, young lady. One day, if you study really, really, hard, you might write something worth boasting of yourself.
Until then, have another boiled sweet, like a good little girl . . .

You've come to make friends tonight, I see, LLL.
If you have to be bigshot, do it elsewhere (perhaps via PM).

Chips? Yes, chips are nice. Chip? No. I'm just pointing out to you what you are. It's not really my fault if you can't take it.
Ooooh. I'll do just that tac. I'll study really really hard and then come onto an internet forum and tell people just how good I think I am. Yeah. I think I've found my calling. No matter that it may well turn me into a desperate loser with absolutely no life, I'll have what really matters; The respect of my peers! The respect of my fellow cricket forummers! Oh joy.
And I think you should keep up the "boiled sweet little girl" jibe. I can barely type for laughing everytime I read it. Did you scribe it yourself, oh comedy genius? It's worthy of Stephen Fry, nay....God! Yet you, a humble phd genius who is better than filosofee at research managed to think of it. The hand of God perhaps? No, it must be the brain of tac.

Wow. You really do have a chip that someone dare suggest their research is better than that which filosofee continually goes on about. Why should anything fluffy and I argue about on another forum get you so irate if not insecurity? Or are you trying to be the forum rambo and take down big bad tac?
Either way, it's a bit boring, so how about you send me a PM and get it all off your chest, like a good little girl.

Oh grow up. It's only some poxy little internet forum.
If you find someone that objectionable, if you really think it's so serious and important that you can't bear to share the same thread as them without resorting to some kind of flouncing stand-off, why not just ignore them? Don't rise to it. Walk away.
What difference does it make?
