Sayers takes 7/84 & moves to 61 wickets in the Shield season, the first bowler to reach 60 in a season since Hilfy in 2006/07.

Vic all out 487, Sayers 7-84....SA already 1-1, Dalton out for zilch to Patto, the suddenly red-hot-in-form Fergie joins the Premier

This might yet be a massacre - it has that feeling about it - in which case Sayers may not get to bowl again this season.

There's no way Vic would enforce a follow on.

To think, when they are all fit one of Patto, Cummins, Haze and Starc doesn't make our first XI.

Despite performing well in the ODIs, Travis Head has struggled since returning to the Sheffield Shield comp.

Maxwell is hoping to follow suit, and Klinger made his move years ago.

More seriously, Australia may be big, but families are scattered, and people often move states for all sorts of reasons. Before the 1970s it was relatively rare to have players move states, and especially rare to have players to have played for three states (I think GD Watson and Gary Cosier were the first of these players) ... but it's increasingly common now to see players who've played for 2 and even 3 states. As far as I know there has not yet been a player to have played for 4 states.

I considered mentioning Slater's Altered States as well, but like Denial that's probably too lame to mention.

If I recall correctly, in the first few weeks of World Series Graeme Watson also played grade cricket in Brisbane with an eye on the State side, before joining WSC as a part-timer just before that Christmas....that could have been as close as anybody has gone to playing for 4 states.

Still, playing for half the teams in a competition must be some sort of record....makes Dale Kickett (5 out of 15 AFL clubs at the time he joined the fifth) look like a stay-at-home.

I didn't know that.

Victoria, WA, and NSW ... and apparently nearly for Queensland.
