Re: Upcoming Test Cricket
So our aspiring Test bats get to see how they go against our actual Test bowlers for a while - looks OK to me. Especially the idea of a real SS Grand Final.

Welly well well. Finally a sensible decision from CA. Wonder if they offered CSA a couple of Tests here. Apparently* Graeme Smith is most unhappy at the 11th hour decision according to SEN. Clouds and silver linings and stuff.
Great news the Squad is available for the Shield. I wonder if Warner and Smith elect to play. Hope so. Both may have preferred to be in NZ.
Embee, imagine how good it will be when the Dubbers fail.

Remind them who pays them and thus they'll play wherever their. Â I'm sure they'd love to go nz and fill their boots.

Tell them they'll play wherever they're told and both would seem to need red ball practice. In fact tell everyone the shield will be the only thing taken into account for the next series

Re: Upcoming Test Cricket
SAf bitching and crying about Aus not touring.
CA Chair Earl Eddings was on the wireless yesty and made it clear that the Yarps were told that they had not satisfied CA's player safety requirements and were offered the chance to play the Tests (and get some income) in Australia. They declined. Dicks.

Obviously not got all the details, But it would seem to me that the tour was always a shot in the dark, the yarpie couldn't organise a root in a brothel with a fistful of fifties.

My take on it is CSA bent over backwards to make the tour happen and offered their sphincter to every stupid demand and CA was never going (for legitimate medical reasons)
We then insulted them by offering to host them
