Well done India, if not for some cod ordinary bowling towards the end it would have been a more emphatic victory.

How hard must India be kicking themselves for not showing a little more spine on the last day of the second test?

They were too busy name-calling. At least they let the bat and ball do the talking in this match. I hope the same happens in Adelaide even if 'Orrible 'Arby returns.

I only saw the end live and some of the highlights. Has any quick bowler done so well against Ponting as Ishant Sharma since Freddie?

This must be the greatest test victory ever in indian cricket period. perth must be regarded as one ,if it not the most alien conditions compared to home. That it is the first subcontinent team to win a test it also illustrates the magnitude of the unexpected win.
i knew that the batting of tendulkar, dravid and laxman can hurt australia anywhere. but what i didn't bargain for was the swing bowling and ishant. i didn't expect more than limited support for swing in australia and also thought ishant was a bit raw. i have been pleasantly suprrised on both counts.

Hopefully Ishant's performance here ends up being more than a flash in the proverbial pan.

The Australian cricket viewing public is probably the most sporting in the world. Except when it comes to the English team.

Why have the aussie postors stopped posting ?? So will they post only if they slag off some 'subi'. Is that their 'only' interest in cricket .. to pursue an alternate line of racism ?
If they are so 'sporting' why don't they participate in the forum ? I have my doubts.

Re: Aus vs India, 3rd Test, Perth, 16-20 Jan (II)
That is totally unnecessary Bucky. We have generously congratulated you on your team's excellent win, there has been no sooking of massive proportions, and now there is nothing really to talk about. The goings on in the wake of the Sydney Test was what kept this place humming in that following week. With little controversy in Perth, what is there to talk about for Aussies. We can only say "well done" so many times. You guys can talk amongst yourselves until the cows come home. You don't need us for that.

As far as I know no body needs to congratulate anybody here. Nobody from here played in that game.
But it seems suprising that suddenly there is nuthin to talk about.

What about the game would you like to talk about Bucky? If you had've posted a point of view other than something stoopid like your post 2 back, then you may get a response. And don't talk about "sporting" after the massive sookathon you clowns puts on after Sydney.*Buckaroo* wrote:As far as I know no body needs to congratulate anybody here. Why don't you talk about Ponting being fined 20% of his match fee for slow over rates? That'll kill some time...

Clearly he should be sacked of the captaincy, blindfolded and shot at dawn.

C'mon Nath, he's a cheat, a heathen, he can't bat or catch, he has two heads and he looks like a ferret. We cannot have riff-raff like that running our most important sporting team. My Indian mates told me so.

Irfan Pathan should share his MoM award with Peter Roebuck. I can't even begin to thank him for the hugely remarkable psy-ops he did in aiding Ponting's and Aus *mental disintegration*.
No words are too great for that great man.
