Queensland pretty safe at stumps on day 3.

I think there may be value in having the pitch of the host prepared by a neutral curator. Feel the same fwiw about Tests.

Hard to arrange that though given the final sides and host state may not be known until the final round is concluded. Perhaps two or three grounds get prepared, and the top of the table team chooses the GF location from those?

Just one batsman dismissed in single figures this match, Queensland is well on track to overhaul Tasmania's first innings.

Renshaw and Burns won't need to bat again in this match, nor will Bailey, hence the rumours (are they true?, I've not seen anything official) that they are already en route to South Africa.

Qld 6/392 still trailing by 85 runs with another rain delay.

All out for 516 with a HS of 77. The top 9 scored from 27 to 77.

Tassie can’t do much in the time left ... may as well throw the bat and hope to make 200-220 then pray for a billy collapse. May as well lose outright as draw a bat-a-thon.

Just as well this is a boring game. It would've been a travesty if it was a classic that got totally overlooked because of "other issues".

This one ruined more by the wet outfield on day 1 than anything else. If there were two days to go, the finish would be interesting.  With just one day to go, perhaps 100 overs weather permitting, the best Tassie can try for is to flog 200-220 themselves then hope for a day 5 Billy collapse.

One can only hope.

Looks like Bailey has handed Qld the outright, declaring on 1/166 rather than batting out a draw which also would see Qld win.
