If they’re 8 or 9 down when the monsoon comes though...taipan wrote:beamer wrote:Could have gone half an hour earlier...

Thought the forecast was good for Monday.

I think if you are delaying a declaration to avoid any possibility of losing a match then I can at least understand the thinking.
There was no danger at all of losing this match at the start of play this morning, perfect conditions for bowling, a lot of rain forecast. With all that in mind it seems a crazy decision to bat on.
Still think we will win.

Can India make a ton in the second dig? Shocking start again. Their openers are so poor.

Hope Jimmy gets 10fer. Crazy that he has over 100 wickets at Lords but no 10fer.

Sturat gets Jinky... good catch that, thought it had gone down but it was one slip diving behind the other that confused me!
Now for the captain. “Help me Virat Kohli, you’re my only hope” or something like that...

Three reviews in three balls, all unsuccessful... now Broad with a chance for the more conventional type of hat-trick.

Not even 2 full days play, taips - if you strip out the rain breaks.
170 overs and 3 balls.
The Number 1 test team really shouldn't be giving up these bowling figures in two Tests, whatever the conditions ...
Jimmy - 13 @ 10.3
Chris W - 4 @ 10.75
Rashid - 3 @ 13.33
Thug - 6 @ 18.83
Sturat - 7 @ 23.42
Curran - 6 @ 24.16

Growls we all knew the number 1 ranking was a joke. They lost a few months ago in SA, this series is dead and buried, and I cannot see this rabble getting their game up against Aus at the end of the year.

Well, it might be a joke, but certainly nobody else deserves it either.

Whoa!!! Well done England.
Only saw the 1st session and a bit (up to 2-30 odd) and I guess I expected England to do the biz, but this looks pretty emphatic.
Only 5 days to regroup for India. If it's at all overcast in Nottingham you'd think a 4th day unnecessary there.
