SRT vs Kohli

Aplogies if this debate has already been started in the months I was away from the form.

Well? Kohli can’t be far behind these days. He may even be ahead.

Kohli is a different sort of player, but he plays better in Oz than Tendy did. Expect he will have another great tour here.

I think Kohli is actually ahead on direct statistical comparison at the same point in his Test career, though obviously he is reaching that benchmark a few years older as he wasn’t in the side at 16 so probably won’t be threatening Tendulkar’s aggregate records.

Kohli could well end up with a higher Test average, but SRT will surely remain unique in career longevity and as a cultural phenomenon in modern cricket.

Kohli also has done it with the "burden" of Test captaincy, something that SRT couldn't do.
