So Kohli, Ranga or Ganguly?
Which of the aforementioned skippers is the biggest prick in terms of getting under one's skin?

Tugga may disagree.
Personally, I have no drama with E-Coli's hard-arsed approach, although I'm not sure he won too many friends today in taking play to within one over of the scheduled finish, when the draw was locked about 20 minutes earlier. Gunner Gould was certainly pissed off.

Kohli's only real rival is Ian Chappell.

Must be a subi trait, good at giving not so good at taking.
For me E-Coli gets it, for his overall lack of sportsmanship. Yes Australia plays hard and sledges (what ICC country doesn't) so should expect it in return , but ignoring the opposition in post match speeches, accusing them of cheating etc goes beyond the field imo

Tbh, I can't see how Australia are coming off with any grace in this to call it a"subi" trait.

The cheating accusation was a bit beyond the pale.

I see it as a Kohli trait, first identified 10 years ago.

No list of unflushed turds of the Subcontinental persuasion can ever be complete if 'Salim Malik' is not on it.

hmmmn not a clever thread.
Fatarjuna (leaving aside criminals like Azza and Cronje) for me was the worst behaved captain I have seen. In by far the worst. In fact by the length of the circumference around his belly.
Fatarjuna famously beat up some little boys with a cricket bat. Their crime - wanting the great man's autograph.
By comparison e-coli, Count Ganguly, Chappelli are choir boys

I agree with horrie. To take a side off the field because he disagreed with an umpire's call (amongst the many other arseholey things he did) was grossly unacceptable.
Alec Stewart summed up Fatatunga with his "your performance today as captain of your country has been disgraceful" as he stood over the stumps in an Adelaide ODI.

Yeah, think this cheating point is where the difference is coming up. The most complimentary thing I can say of Smith's referral referral is that he was looking to game the DRS. We've labelled players like Rashid Latif and Ramdin as cheats for things which are much more spontaneous and prone to brain fades like claiming a catch. I have no issue with the questioning of Smith. He brought that on himself. And as furri pointed out, finding a scapegoat in Handscombe brings questions about his leadership, particularly in crises.taipan wrote:Even if it was cheating?
Equally, none of that defends Kohli's press conferences or antics. But it's far from a one way street.

'Great pose Virat, great facial, there was a bloke called Dave Rodan played for us a few years ago, looked just like you....hold that pose, just move along the wall a bit further, so we've got that sign saying 'contagious' in the background....'

Have to back you up here, at least in years past. I've always thought the few times they had to take it (you don't often let it bother you when you are the winningest) they demonstrated a complete lack of ticker.

Agree with you both. Only a minority of Australians of the red necked persuasion would generalise a personality trait to all people of a geographic sub-region.
