The problem is Finch is also the captain and there is a leadership vacuum behind him (which is about to get bigger when GCS and SF finish their bans)

Meh, give NoShow a go. It might make him play more responsibly, ALL the time.

Craddocks view as well. Suspect Fink will stand down. Hopefully will not behave like Ksnr and others who hung on too long.

Listening to sports radio this morning, there seems to be increasing support for NoShow to be given a go as skipper.

No other options Skullywag.
As said I hope Fink does the right thing and omits himself.

Fink strikes me as a bit of a dumb bogan. I'm not sure he's smart enough to stand down.

He's actually very bright and the antithesis of a Bogan. Suspect he is suffused with shame at his loss of form and agreeing to open in Tests.

True Nath. I hope they send gcspoc to the WC as an investment in the future. He will fail and disgrace himself somehow or another, resulting in him being ruled out of the Ashes. That is about the one positive I can see from the WC.

E-Coli is to Oz what Latham is to (other) minnows.

Been out this evening, but looks to be a decent result for Aus. I got a brief score when Coli and Shanker were charging along and it looked like we'd be chasing at least 300.
Still, I expect Fink to fail and Aus to struggle to a 30 run loss.

I watched most of a decent opening stand by Fink and Ooze, but kept thinking "they've got the run rate required way under 1 per ball, but I just know they are gonna turn into brain-dead morons". Sure enough, Fink has gone for the big sweep and Ooze chipped one to mid-off.
Dicks.
I fully expect to get up tomoz to a loss.
Good night.

8 runs in the end. Fair efforts from Sneaky and Groins got Oz close.

I blame Fink. We were cruising and he started the collapse with an unnecessary heave across the line.

I find it hard to believe Kedar Yadav gets wickets with his side arm sliders.

He's the national version of a phenomenon we've all seen - that totally irritating, totally punchable, below mediocre farker who who should be bowled out first ball/ hit out of the ground. But who refuses to do either. In fact he does better than you.

And they should just call it the Kohli Bumrah XI and get on with it.
