Yeah, looks like Ooze and Wank patiently kept us on track with a 200+ stand then Dozen went to town.

Of course he's not the first A. Turner to play for Australia - the original model survived the trauma of having Bruce You-know-who as an opening partner for the first four years of his State career, to play about a Dozen (seewotididthere?) Tests for Australia, wreck Thommo's shoulder, score Australia's first one day and World Cup century, become our first specialist bat-pad fieldsman, be the man to make way for David Hookes in the Centenary Test team, and post-playing career as B&H big cheese he set a world record by saying the name 'Benson and Hedges' 263 times in a three minute speech while presenting the 94-95 Ashes.

I remember him well. Bruce made Alan look a star. His but me no butts spiels for B&H were legendary.

Ah well. We have to peg out from something. I'm having another go at giving up the gaspers, ahead of surgery in a fortnight. Just bought several packets of nicotine patches. Have booked a motel for five days of isolation (more to protect others against my bad temper.

Lol.... High speed internet guaranteed. Expect lots of fun Nigel. Have been reading about some land justice in Stellenbosch. Your views would be .... Ahem ... interesting.

Link?
And BTW the question of landownership is not as simplistic as the ANC and snowflakes would have you believe

Certain it is quite complex. A friend had the unenviable job of reconstituting the Torrens land title system in Uganda.
Apparently* a lot of white landowners took 50 year leases on public land just before the end of apartheid.
Story was in New York Times and focussed on one white wine maker and his battle to stop homeless people squatting on his land.

Just watched the replay on Foxy.
Excellent stand between Ooze and Wank to give Aus a chance, but the partnership between Turner and Carey was something else. Turner didn't look to be thrashing in the slightest, but his timing was exquisite. And Carey's support was invaluable.
The run rate got to nearly 11 around the 42nd over but then Turner and Carey just put the foot down and smoked 70 in less than 5 over. In the end it was a doddle.
Let's hope we've found the new "finisher" in Dozen.

Looks like we are batting first.
Bad idea if there is likely to be dew later.

After Ooze threw his wicket away, NoShow is doing his usual act of stringing numerous failures together after some success in the T20s.

The usual collapso happens. Aus loses 3-7 when they looked like they might push for 300.
Will be lucky to set the Bannies 250 now.

Handy 29* by Dallas gets us to 272, which is about 40 short.

Bannies getting back into this...need 50 off the last 4 overs with 3 wickets in hand.
Bizarre that Oz is a chance of winning this series, let alone one in Bannieville.
Another wicket falls and the Bannie commenttors are close to inconsolable.

hahaha .... should have realised.... I've been listening on the radio
I expect the radio commentator may have invested in several of your effigies ... and fired them up.
Broadcast has just come back on as Coli is talking. He is being magnanimous!!
