Jesus I'd forgotten all about this. Kingfisher is close, not being wtf an .........ologist (bird guy) is. It's a shrike I suppose. Actually hunts it prey from coastal cliffs n parts of W and n Africa ranging as north as Spain ( so yeah got that bit lardy). Small little farker but strong. Carries it's wounded preys to thorn trees and impales them to finish the job.
