Lions v Oz Z grade team
Lions 6/531 at lunch on D.2 of this first encounter.
In pretty much an insult to the English, CA has fielded a team of players not good enough for Shield cricket.
Big Dog - have you gone to this?

Did'nt realize it was on. There has been zero publicity.

And the England Lions team includes five players with Test caps to their name, including four set to tour Sri Lanka next month.

England declared at 613.
Aus XI 4-354 in reply. Boof Jr is dining out with 150* and Jack Edwards is 81*.

Didn't he jag one early last season?
To answer my own q, yes, he did.
"There was a glimpse at the future of Australian batting talent at the SCG as 18-year-old Jack Edwards struck his maiden first-class century and 19-year Jason Sangha his first Sheffield Shield hundred."

Re: Lions v Oz Z grade team
Both Sangha and Edwards did very well, even if the pitch is an autobahn. Clearly both are still very young and hit the Shield as wunderkinds and then fell away.
I wonder if one or both will consider a move to another State. Surely Tas will be looking to fix their lack of decent batting.
