Lots of fish & chip wrapper talk about a niggle-carrying Koo being replaced by Morris.

Aye and time to start looking at next gen of bowlers.
Murphy seems to get ticks re: Elmer's replacement and Pat and Josh are still young enough, but Koo is 35.

Defo. I'd have seriously considered Inglis after his excellent glovework in the WC.

Carey played very well with gloves and bat in the Shield game.
Of the squad just 7 have have played Shield. The outs should come from the others.
Boland and Morris in for dubious in Tests Haze and prolly injured Starc. Pounding in the sh/house Optus concrete surface is no good for quicks (which may be why the poor bugger WA quicks keep getting injuries).
Marsh blew it by not playing Shield and Green took his chance with a great knock.Marsh predictably failed in T5.
So in my worthless opinion Starc, Haze and Starc miss.
I want us to win but for GCS to make a King pair.

I thought Carey was going to be a sort of Gilly Mk II but it hasn't panned out so far.
I hope he comes good because it looks like Bailey is going to persist with him.

I’ve already had my excitement for this series.
Horrie, is your first name Mitch perchance? Just a wild guess.

Hahaha.. No! Though I must say Mitch of the Johnson variety has always been an astute observer of the game.

Horrie can’t possibly be a Mitch!! He wants Starc out twice!
A clear case of Mitch conflation.

More seriously I suspect Starc and Green to miss out and one of Morris and Boland to be carrying the drinks … should be Morris, going on (Boland’s) form.

So - of those two, Morris should be carrying the drinks

Also, a slow century from Renshaw.
Very little for the bowlers here. It seems there won’t be an Australian (PM XI) second innings.

Very placid wicket, so no great shakes for Bangers and Harry.

Two days. Starc apparently recovered. Barring another injury in practice, it now appears our XI will be as it was in Ashes T5, with Lyon in for Murphy. Morris, Boland and Green just there as net practice support …
