Amazing. Batsmen today just don’t have the skills they once did.

If that is so... if we don't have good batsmen around, and if this or Aus SA in the Gabba or India England in Ahmedabad (or Lord's 2018) becomes more of the norm, then we won't need SA to send weakened teams to kill off tests.
I personally don't think it's only batsmen becoming worse.

Not only that, no, but when these bad wickets are ‘prepared’, today’s batsmen, raised on roads, don’t have the skills of yesteryear.

South Africa 6/103, a lead of 5.
Markram is still there but can their tailenders hang around with him on this pitch?

Could the Bannerman record be under threat?

South Africa 8/162
Markram finally out for 106 so the Bannerman record is safe.
Rahul dropped Markram when he was 74

Dean Elgar broke a World Record in his last Test.
He made the lowest ever 2nd highest score in an innings featuring a centurion. AK Markram 106/D Elgar 12, beating the previous record of GN Yallop 121/KJ Hughes 16.

India win by 7 wickets.
So the test has only lasted 1½ days after South Africa prepare a substandard wicket. Coming days after they announce a squad of third stringers to tour New Zealand, I think it is time to show South Africa the door. Boot them out of test cricket!

Shittier pitch than the earlier shitty pitch.
I wait weeks for a Test series and I get this.

2 tests is not a series, but if the pitches are gonna be like this, perhaps just as well.

It is good when there is something in it for the bowlers, but there must be balance.

As much as I despise SAf, the CSA management is so woeful that Test players can't afford to play Test Cricket any more, so bad is their Test pay.
