MacGoo thinks he's still in the frame
I was barely able to bowl at Grade cricketers but I'm ready for Pakistan
STUART MacGill was a nervous wreck as he took his first steps in Sydney grade cricket towards regaining his Test spot.
MacGill was so apprehensive about facing his first batsman since having carpal tunnel surgery that he tried to talk himself out of bowling for Sydney University at home against Manly.
The veteran leg-spinner with 203 wickets from 42 Tests, who has stared down some of the game's greatest players at the world's most hostile grounds and not flinched, had never experienced anything like this.
"The nerves were 100 times worse than my first Test," MacGill said.
.....
"After today I'll definitely be fit for the tour of Pakistan, definitely," MacGill said.

Is he still our best option for the flat decks of Faisalabad?

One day of Sydney grade cricket gets him fit enough for International duties in Pakistan?
FFS, Magoo, get back on that treadmill and don't stop running until the end of March.

If he's lost enough weight to fit in the frame at all that's a positive sign.
