Aye. Unfortunately Gilly has an innate penchant for the diplomatic and politically correct response. Which means he won't be telling Crappelli that he's a gibbering farkstick. Heals and the Nob have alluded to the fact subtly throughout this summer.

I think Gilly will be a good commentator. Every time he's been miked up for a 2020 game he has been pretty entertaining.

No loved lost with Greig though. TBH, I reckon some of those older guys might get a tap on the should over the next year or so.

I would've tapped the South African streak of duck sh!t with a 4-be-2 behind the earhole about 7 years ago after his disgracefully biased effort in the 2001 away Indian series.

They need to move a few on, Bas. Chappell is an embarrassment and Greigy is past his used-by-date. Richie prolly only has a year to go and Bill maybe a couple. Gilly will fit right in, in a year or two.

Having been Packer's bag man for 20 plus years ... thought he'd bought into the Channel.

Gilly will undoubtedly be a breath of fresh air ... his 20/20 on-field chats were both observant and humourous.
