he's not going to paly many games, lets be honest. i doubt he'd be involved if this was not the inaugral tournament. they needed his pulling power

If he does not play then there is just about nothing for the so called Mumbai fans to back their team. As it is the IPL was struggling to get some bonding from the fan bases.

Wonder what Boof's fitness levels are like? I hear since retirement, he's been training on Coopers.

I'm sure that if you are unable to play for some reason, injury or otherwise, you won't receive the money apart from 15% of the basic contract. It would have a blessing in disguise for India had Sachin missed the whole IPL. But as it stands now, he is almost certain to miss the Sunday's game and is doubtful for the next game.

Missing one match doesn't mean missing the entire tournament. They'll have 59 matches in 44 days.

It's called a contract. All SA players are contracted to their franchises.
