Chennai are so lucky, I wouldn't be surprised if half the Rajasthan team are hit by food poisoning or something tomorrow.

Chennai have been clinical and quite impressive actually, and if you remember, right from the start too - unlike some other teams filled with a bunch of overpaid wankers (CSK like RR in this respect - mostly "commoners"). Hardly lucky. I would say only the RR have unambiguously been better than any other team in the league. Both deserved finalists and RR would be deserved winners.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? Chennai won the first 5 on the trot, thanks mainly to Hayden and Hussey and then won 3 of the next 9 games, out of which one was duckworth lewis and another a missed chance of the last ball.

4 and 4 out of the next 10. Your point being? You can point to such apparently "lucky" events in any match you pick up and examine.

Anything good on May 30 8 a.m.?

Overweight Smith has been ruled out of the final and Jaipur is likely to replace him with Akmal, though Warne said that Younis Khan is some chance to open with the pocket rocket Asnodkar.

So is it tonight, Oz time? Could almost be worth watching, as it's probably the last time Warne will bowl a ball in anger until the Ashes 2009.

Looks like Younis to come into the Royals team.

Pakistan batsman Younis Khan is likely to come in as a replacement for injured South African captain Graeme Smith in the Rajasthan Royals squad that will take on the Chennai Super Kings in Sunday's Indian Premier League final.

Irony is though there are thousands more watching this than the test match in the Caribbean.

Is cricket in the Windies dead?

Thousands more eat at McDonalds than at good restaurants. Thousands more buy T-shirts than suits. Thousands more teenagers w@nk rather than have regular sex. Price, availability, time constraints ... I'm sure you can figure it out.

I can but this is serious in that it goes beyond looking at people's tastes and judging that against serious culture or cuisine, it's more about whether the Windies will survive in world cricket.

Posts like these have become the IPL equivalent of "I have put forummer X on ignore, don't care what they're saying about me, are they saying something about me? How dare they say something about me..although I have them on ignore and couldn't give a fark what they're saying about me".

Chennai Super Kings:

+PA Patel, S Vidyut, SK Raina, *MS Dhoni, CK Kapugedera, S Badrinath, JA Morkel, M Gony, L Balaji, M Muralitharan, M Ntini

Rajasthan Royals:

+Kamran Akmal, SA Asnodkar, YK Pathan, M Kaif, SR Watson, NK Patel, RA Jadeja, *SK Warne, SK Trivedi, MM Patel, Sohail Tanvir

On paper Chennai has so many more 'marquee' names, they should win easily. But RR has performed better throughout the tournament.

Surely there is a better batsman available to Patel (and then Dhoni can keep).
