WI v Australia, 3rd Test, Barbados, 12th-16th June
changes?
Casson in for MacGill, certainly
Hodge in for Katich (if Katich's recovery is slow)
Noffke in for Jhnson (unlikely)
Gayle in for Morton (improves the batting and the spin bowling)
Powell out? and a new pacer in

Can't wait to get a good look at Casson. And if anyone came in for Johnson I would hope it would be Bollinger.

To put that in perspective..... Warne and MacGill average 34 and 33 in the Sheild respectivly. Bastmen actually play spin well in Australia compared to the CC.

Re: WI v Australia, 3rd Test, Barbados, 12th-16th June
Perhaps we're being harsh. Aussie pitches are hardly spinner's paradises. Unless your name's Warne.
Interesting that come the Ashes next year, Stuart Clark will be 34, Brett Lee will be approaching 33 and Mitchell Johnson will hopefully still be a mediocre rookie.
I don't suppose it'll make much difference though. Clark will plonk it in the same place whatever his age and Brett Lee's such a good athlete, he'll probably still be the fastest bowler in the world.
Anyone know when Australia next play South Africa?

Casson will do okay...can't see him winning many games for us tho.
Would like to see Midge make way for Nofke.

The difference in class between Lee and Clark and the 3rd and 4th bowlers is noticeable. Reminds me a bit of the Windies in the late 90's/early 00's when Ambrose and Walsh were still terrific, and Rose and King weren't.

I keep hearing good things about Bollinger?
He's quick and swings it, from what I saw in my 4 weeks in Oz on the TV.
Don't understand why they pick an up and down merchant in Johnson, when they have Bollinger in the wings.
Not seen enough though really to form a proper opinion though.

Re: WI v Australia, 3rd Test, Barbados, 12th-16th June
From Foxsports so probably all made up but this is a worrying statement:
Mixed emotions for Casson
June 05, 2008 BEAU Casson admits he had mixed emotions when mentor and teammate Stuart MacGillb announced his retirement during the second Test against the West Indies.
The 25-year-old was the first Australian squad member MacGill told of his intention to hang up his baggy green after the Antigua match.
It left Casson both shocked and saddened by his idol's decision.
It also heft him excited - with MacGill's swift withdrawal suddenly opening the way for the left-arm chinaman to possibly get first crack at securing a long-term job as Australia's spinner.
“I was actually doing my daily workout ... when he came over. I obviously saw he was a bit emotional, and I asked if he was okay. Then he told me and we hugged,'' Casson said.
“We're a very loving side. Fingers crossed that the opportunity comes now. It's mixed emotions: sad for him, but very excited for myself.
“I obviously get on with him really well and I was very honoured that he came and spoke to me first.''
MacGill revealed the reason he told Casson first was so that his young protege could get his parents over to Barbados in time for the third Test starting Thursday next week.
