Graham Napier....
152* off 58 balls - 10x4 16x6
I was even woofing earlier - we've been so in and out this year.

Boundary rope pulled in to the edge of the square maybe?

Most of them went out of the ground, Bas!
I've never seen anything like it, absolutely extraordinary!
I didn't know whether to harrumph and kick the cat at Notts miserable capitulation that I was listening to on the wireless, or whoop with delight at watching such an extraordinary display of clean hitting on the gogglebox!
Settled for the latter in the end. Wonderful stuff.

Essex took 207 runs off the last 14 overs BTW!
Jimmy Foster was giving it some serious humpty as well.

*waits for Mudge to rock up and proclaim Napier a potentially world class all rounder who should at the very least be a part of the England set-up, if not captain, coach and spiritual guru*
Re: English county season 2008 (III)
What an innings by Napier. Amazing stuff.

Cracking innings though. Terrific leg hitting. Some were simply huge.
Mo Chambers is bowling well. No pace about him whatsoever though. Skiddy though.

You watching, Lever? Could he have had one in the ball previous to his brace? It was caught and Flower fell over the ropes?
Re: English county season 2008 (III)
Recording the Sussex innings for later - not watching at the moment

I'm not watching - what kind of pace is he recording? He's supposed to be fast.
Although, in English cricket terms, anything above 75mph is considered a bit nippy.

82-85mph. Probs no more than 82.5 average. Comes onto the bat a bit quicker than you expect, however.
And I quote:

Good pace! Up to 85 miles an hour... sometimes.... now he's loose!
