Lara Lara Laughs wrote:Meh, I wasn't convinced the first time he brought his illness up and I'm pretty sure this is untrue.
I'd have to be a goon to believe that, while tac is fighting stomach cancer, he's going to call Japan from Australia, just so that he can pass on messages for a colleague to post on this forum.
If I had cancer, leaving messages with friends to post on a cricket forum wouldn't be a priority for me. Besides, if I had the energy to call or email someone, I'd have the energy to post the message myself.
If I'm wrong then I'm wrong and I wish him all the best but, like I said, I don't believe this for a second. Nice try though tac. Feel free to pm me to tell me I'm right. I won't tell.
He can't PM anyone. His righst for that still stay suspended by JD.
I wish him all the best too. Part of me wants to believe the message and a part of it echos the same thoughts as You, about Tac not posting this himself. Unless he is already in infirmary and doesn't have computer access, but only phone access. Or perhaps even if he has net access, it could be gut wrenching emotionally to try and get a post up with something like this. Who knows?
One of my first cousin's husband recently underwent painful chemo-therapy for stomach cancer in New Jersey, so I know it is too ugly and painful for people who suffer them. Like Trev said, no one in his right mind would like to tempt fate and bluff about something that could haunt him later. So I give him the benefit of the doubt.
Perhaps Ange knows things we don't.....

I wish her well too. Courage for you both I hope. My New Jersey cousin's father-in-law died from cancer. Now her husband had a recovery from the same. Theories of hereditary ailment frighten her when she thinks her kids could catch it too in the future.....

Josh Carney wrote:Stay mentally strong Jack. That is more than half the battle when fighting such nasties. You will be back soon.
I would like to think recovering a second time is much easier than first. Well technically no cancer recovery can be easy physically but perhaps mentally when one has survived it oncfe. Because one has experience of dealing with it, a better idea of what to expect as compared to excessive fears and panic of when it happens first and a better understanding that one can recover from it successfully and how to fight it. In the end it's all in the mind even if the body gives up. So I hope Tac takes more strength and heart from his previous brush and uses to recover faster.....
I know a guy who never suffered something like this cannot comment on this like I just said in this, and yet all I can do is hope I am right about it. Helps people hold onto hope even if for unknown strangers on forum we think we know.....

Wrong as usual. It was a legitimate coamment which Skully. who appears to have the most knowledge of the disease on here, agreed with.

Can I suggest that there are a gazillion places where slinging muck at Trev is appropriate, but here is one of the few that isn't, and you might like to start your own thread?.

Ayurveda has good 'cures' for cancer. Unlike the 'disease management' fraud perpetuated by big pharma.
Ask them to look into that angle too.

Re: Message from tac
Hello everyone,
Just been reading this thread and will pass on best wishes to Jack.
He is in Sydney now and told me to say that he will try to look up Skully at some point.
I'll keep looking in at times (I've just been reading some threads and you fellows are actually pretty funny).

Re: Message from tac
tac if this is some sort of sick joke, then it sure as hell aint funny. If it 's true then get well soon, but if you're just lying to get some kind of sympathy then you are truly the most wretched and pathetic excuse for a person alive. Period.

Why anyone would pretend about something like this is beyond me, but to all suggesting that it might even be a possibility, why not just STFU and say nothing?

Not going to answer?
You obviously wanted us to all know that you've heard something otherwise you wouldn't have used the name Bradley.
You're so weird.
