He should be OK, playing down the wrong line and getting bowled out for single figures every other innings shouldn't cause him too much distress.

I think it's great that he's playing this series. It'll boost the TV commentary credibility next year to have player who's retired so recently in the box for the 09 Ashes.

It's a not uncommon occurrence.
Flynn probably wishes he had got half-spayed instead of dedented.

Did Vaughany get interviewed at the close of play? Just how many positives were there today?

Don't know, but can you imagine it?Geoffrey Trueman wrote:Did Vaughany get interviewed at the close of play? Just how many positives were there today?
Interviewer: Michael, a great day for England, 309 for 3, batting looked really easy out there.
Yaughan: Yes, The first one I faced I saw like a watermelon...

There were things England could be positive about - but only in the same way you could be HIV positive.Geoffrey Trueman wrote:PeterCS wrote:GT: Nah, he can take the positives out of that.

Well SA is nearly 200 still in deficit, the weather may assist the swing bowlers today, they have Harris at the crease and they dismissed the effeminate captain cheaply.
This test is still delicately poised.

Re: Vaughan knee will be ok;using SA as springboard to Ashes
For just a moment, I thought cricinfo had left the man who is using this series as a springboard to the Ashes off the list of series bating averages...
Lurking just above Monty Panesar in Engalnd's averages, there he is...
MP Vaughan
Mat 3
Inns 5
NO 0
Runs 40
HS 21
Ave 8.00
BF 82
SR 48.78
100s 0
50s 0
0s 2
4s 7
6s 0
Bring on the Ashes I say.
