I like that they are taught to respect their elders(relatives)and look after them when needed.I like the no alcohol rule.

I guess what I am trying to say is that majority rules,and the majority in Pakistan are muslim.Just as the majority in Australia are christians,which is why we have debates about abortion,using embryos for stem cell research in parliament.

That is where the confusion comes in,Pakistan and India are different in a lot of respects,but there is no big drinking culture in India(and they do look after their elderly)as well,why is that?
