James Whittaker
One test wonder
Gobby captain, then an even more gobbier chief exec of the Foxes
Now a selector - has anyone heard a word from him? Is he buried under Geoff Miller's patio? We should be told!

Re: James Whittaker
I have no idea how JamWhit even got an interview for the selectors job.
He'd been out of the game for two years, working in the family chocolate factory.
Were there really no better candidates? If the ECB were happy to give the job to just anyone, perhaps I should've applied after all...

Now hold on JD. You'd have picked Saj to Captain and open the bowling!!
Although at least NPB would've got binned!!

Always sounded like a prize buffoon on the commentary too.
e.g. Aftab Habib being a class act...

Pfft. Saj doesn't have leadership qualities. But he does have a bit of pace and is going pretty well this season...
He's no Darren Pattinson, though...

Think I referred to him as Willy Wonka just the other day (possibly in that End Is Nigh thread).
Gilo's obviously Augustus Gloop.
Re: James Whittaker
Sunday.
It's mine.
It's a f*ck up, simple as that. Windy Miller, Ghastly Piles, Willy Wonka and Pete Sussex haven't got a clue what they're playing at

I bet he doesn't even like chocolate - just cynically views it as his money maker.
You can't trust a man who doesn't like chocolate.
He looks like Robocop.
Re: James Whittaker
This is my 1,000th post so I thought I would make it about someone important.
This was James Whittaker's last appearance in an international cricket match.
http://www.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/1980S/1986-87/OD_TOURNEYS/SHJC/PAK_ENG_SHJC_ODI4_07APR1987.html
I believe he hit a six to win the game so he certainly went out with a bang.
Can anyone check on this?
